Wa Sore Nante has clinched the top spot of the Upper West Division II league table after securing more points than their competitors in the past two matches.

Their decisive 4-0 victory over Wa Sombo Freedom Stars catapulted them to the lead, diminishing the chances of Wa Sombo Freedom Stars, who became league leaders after two rounds of matches.

Analysis by Football pundits in the region perked the league-winning points at 10 or 11 points due to the intense competition within the league.

Currently, two teams from Sissala land, namely Kowie Eva Stars and Real 24 Hours FC, have been eliminated from title contention.

Meanwhile, four other teams—Wa Sore Nante, Wa Sombo Freedom Stars, Malima FC, and T.F Exponential FC—still have a chance to win the league.

Among these contenders, Wa Sore Nante stands the best chance, having accumulated 8 points, two more than the 6 points held by their nearest rivals.

If Wa Sore Nante wins their final match, they will reach 11 points, the highest possible total at this stage, securing the league title.

Should Wa Sore Nante draw, and two of Wa Sombo Freedom Stars, Malima FC, and T.F Exponential FC win their matches, a playoff would ensue between the three clubs, each having 9 points.

Based on current standings and upcoming fixtures, Wa Sore Nante is poised to claim the title, especially as they face Real 24 Hours FC, a team no longer in contention.

The next team with a significant chance to win the league is T.F Exponential FC. Despite also having 6 points, their prospects look brighter since they play their final match against Kowie Eva Stars, another team out of the running.

Wa Sombo Freedom Stars and Malima FC will face each other on the last day of the season, with the winner also staying in the hunt for the league title.

For Wa Sombo Freedom Stars, Malima FC, or T.F Exponential FC to win the league, Wa Sore Nante would need to lose their final match, which is unlikely given their opponent’s current standing.

A playoff scenario would require one or two of Wa Sombo Freedom Stars, Malima FC, or T.F Exponential FC to win their matches, coupled with a draw by Wa Sore Nante.
