The Assembly member for Dorimon Electoral Area in the Wa West District, Hon. Fuseini Saaka has initiated a community tree planting project dubbed the “Green Dorimon Project”
The project which began on June 29, 2024, will focus on planting a variety of trees at some critical locations across the electoral area.
Some of the targetted areas include the Dorimon Dam, Health centre, Schools and along Main Street. A total of 1, 450 trees comprising Montalis, Eucalyptus and Casia have been planted this year.
Speaking during the exercise, the Assemblyman for Dorimon Electoral Area said “The main objective is to leverage on the Green Ghana Project to plant trees each year so that Dorimon will become the Garden City of Wa West District”
A clean-up campaign was also organised at the Dorimon dam to climax the day’s activities.
Assemblymember used the opportunity to express gratitude to community members who supported the initiative.
