Overlord of Dorimon Traditional Area Enskins 11 New Sub-Chiefs in Dorimon at a Ceremony
The Dorimon Traditional Area in the Wichiau District of the Upper West Region celebrated a significant cultural event on July 19, 2024, with the enskinment of 11 sub-chiefs and the outdooring of two Queen mothers.
This ceremony, led by the overlord of the Dorimon Traditional Area, Naa Seidu Tungbani Salinbile II, marked a pivotal moment in the efforts to strengthen its leadership and cultural heritage in the area.
The enskinned sub-chiefs and their respective titles are: Bayong Domalalee from the Bundayiri division, enskinned as Gongo Naa from the Gongo division, Dogunaa Tungbani enskinned as Sielaa Naa from Sielaa division, Mahama Mwininumbu from the Pase division, enskinned as Jambusi Naa, Bawuobii Gozie from the Pase division enskinned as Kukpali Naa, Ayenyi Moses from the Pase division, enskinned as Kandiko Naa, Kofi Akura from the Pase division, enskinned as Pasela Naa and Tibanye Harrison Nnabali from the Pase division, enskinned as Guomaale Naa, Iddrisu Gor from the Kuzie division, enskinned as Kuzie Naa, Ayenyi Moses enskinned as Guwo Naa from the Gandiko division, Venasious Bayor enskinned as Zinye Naa from Zinye division, Simon Yorta enskinned as Dakpaltenga Naa in the Dakpaltenga division.
The two Queen mothers outdoored during the ceremony were Amadu Kpeninnang enskinned as Oli Pog-Naa, Mieri Gaapie as Oli Pog-Naa and Rabi Kantunsun Ali as Dontanga Queen Mother.
This event was a celebration of traditional leadership and an initiative aimed at fostering development in the Dorimon Traditional Area.
The overlord emphasized the important roles of the new sub-chiefs in maintaining peace and attracting investment to the Wichiau district thereby contributing to its growth and prosperity.
Naa Seidu Tungbani Salinbile II encouraged the newly enskinned sub-chiefs to uphold the area’s cultural heritage and work towards enhancing the peaceful atmosphere.
