Fenbo Foundation, a non-governmental organization, is dedicated to providing essential health services and education to rural communities, with a focus on women’s health and empowerment. Recently, the foundation organized a breast cancer screening exercise for residents of Peing and Challu, coupled with health education sessions and sanitary pad distribution to young women and students—targeting critical rural health issues.
The foundation’s two-day event attracted over 600 women, who received free breast cancer screenings, underscoring both the need for healthcare support and the positive impact of accessible services. Five cases were referred for further examination, including one in an advanced stage. Additional treatments were offered for minor ailments, including malaria, typhoid fever, ulcers, high blood pressure, and wound care.
Students from Peing and Challu Junior High School also benefited from the foundation’s efforts. The sanitary pad donations aimed to improve menstrual hygiene management among young girls, helping them stay comfortable and confident in school.
