Michael Kwame Mumuni, the First Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region, emerged victorious in the region’s Council of State elections. He secured eight votes, the highest among the candidates, earning him the mandate to represent the region on the president’s advisory body.
The keenly contested election saw Dimah Gbene Iddrisu John finishing closely behind with seven votes. Emmanuel Kudi Mwinila-Yuori secured three votes, while Alhaji Dauda Yahaya, Rayan Yussif, Mwinimaana Saaka Al-Moktar, and Kuoro Abu Diaka each received one vote.
The remaining candidates, Mohammed Ahmed, Kuoro Bareche Nlowie, Ibrahim Yakubu Kanda, and Deribaa Muinfo David, did not secure any votes.
