In an extraordinary act of solidarity and compassion, security officers from various agencies across Ghana, all natives of Nandom and its surrounding areas, have come together to support one of their own, Sergeant Raymond Zakpalah of the Ghana Prisons Service, who is battling a serious illness.
Raymond urgently requires $8,500 (GHS 130,000) for medical treatment, a sum beyond his financial means. Recognizing the urgency of his situation, a WhatsApp group comprising security personnel from different agencies, all hailing from Nandom and its environs, mobilized resources to assist their colleague.
They raised an impressive GHS 27,700 through their collective efforts, offering much-needed relief and hope to Raymond and his family.
This heartwarming gesture highlights the unwavering bond among security officers from the Nandom area, reinforcing the spirit of unity and shared responsibility.
Their willingness to extend a helping hand in a time of crisis underscores the values of brotherhood and community support.
Despite the generous contributions, Raymond still requires additional financial assistance to cover the full cost of his medical treatment. His colleagues are therefore appealing to other security personnel, natives of Nandom, and well-meaning individuals to join the cause.
“No contribution is too small,” one of the organizers stated. “Together, we can ensure that Raymond gets the medical attention he urgently needs.”
