Naa Imoru Junior High School (JHS) has been crowned champions of the Nandom East Circuit soccer tournament after a hard-fought victory against Nabugagn JHS in the final match.
The two-day tournament, organized for both Primary and Junior High Schools, brought together several schools to compete in an exciting showcase of talent and sportsmanship.
Despite facing challenges, including the need to borrow jerseys from other schools, Naa Imoru JHS displayed remarkable skill and determination throughout the competition. Their resilience paid off in the final as they edged out Nabugagn JHS in a thrilling encounter.

The match was keenly contested, with both teams showing great tactical discipline.
However, Naa Imoru JHS capitalized on a well-executed play to secure the winning goal, sending their supporters into celebration.
The headteacher from Naa Imoru JHS, Mr. Seidu Abdul-haq commended the players for their outstanding performance. “They showed incredible teamwork and perseverance. Even without their own jerseys, they gave their best and emerged victorious,” he said.

The tournament highlighted the importance of school sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness among students. However, it also exposed the need for improved sports facilities and resources for schools in the circuit.
