Anthony Ziniel, the newly nominated Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Nandom Municipal Assembly, has expressed deep gratitude and a strong commitment to the development of the municipality, following his nomination by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement, Mr. Ziniel thanked the President for the opportunity to serve and acknowledged the support of Member of Parliament Hon. Richard Kuuire, with whom he has worked closely over the years. He also commended the leadership and dedication of Chairman Philimon Wein and the entire constituency executive team.
“This nomination is a call to serve, which I gladly accept,” Mr. Ziniel stated.
“I look forward to working with our Honourable Assembly Members during the confirmation process, and I am inspired by the Assembly’s track record of unity, having previously given 100% approval to MCE nominees.”
Mr. Ziniel brings over two decades of experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked with local and international organizations. He is optimistic that his leadership, together with collective community efforts, can transform Nandom into a model municipality.
Reflecting on the leadership journey of the municipality—from its foundational work under Dr. Benjamin Kunbour to its elevation to municipal status under Hon. Ambrose Dery—he emphasized the importance of continuity and collaboration in governance. “With Hon. Richard Kuuire as MP and myself as nominee, we seek the full support and cooperation of all stakeholders,” he added.
He extended a hand of partnership to traditional leaders, religious authorities, and fellow contenders in the nomination process, notably Thaddeus Siemogle and Vitus Gbogryangn. “This is a win for all of us. I appreciate your congratulations and look forward to working with you towards our shared reset agenda.”
Calling on all citizens of Nandom, both within and outside the municipality, Mr. Ziniel urged them to treat Nandom’s development as a collective duty. “Let’s bring our ideas to the table and transform them into productive ventures that benefit our people.”
