The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nandom Constituency, Hon. Dr. Richard Kuuire, has completed a thank-you tour across the four zones of the constituency, expressing his appreciation to the people for electing him to serve.
The tour, which took place over the weekend, began on Friday with visits to the Baseble and Ko zones. On Saturday, he engaged with constituents in the Puffien Zone before concluding the tour on Sunday with a meeting in the Nandom Zone.
As part of his engagements, Hon. Dr. Kuuire visited various mosques and the St. Theresa’s Minor Basilica, where he interacted with religious leaders and worshippers. He thanked the people for their trust in his leadership and pledged to work closely with them to bring development to the constituency.
Addressing key issues affecting the area, the MP spoke about the dangers of Cerebrospinal Meningitis (CSM) and the importance of early medical attention. He urged residents to report to health facilities immediately if they experience any unusual symptoms, emphasizing that early treatment is crucial in preventing fatalities.
Hon. Dr. Kuuire also introduced the three shortlisted applicants for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and wished them well in the selection process. He assured the people that the government remains committed to appointing a capable leader to oversee the affairs of the municipality.
In addition, he encouraged constituents to continue supporting the government and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to fulfil their campaign promises. He assured them of his dedication to ensuring that the constituency benefits from development projects and policies aimed at improving their livelihoods.
