MiLife Insurance Company in partnership with the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) in the Lawra District, has donated a set of football jerseys and a football to students of St. Andrews Junior High School (JHS) in Nandom.

The donation, made on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, aims to promote sports and encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities. The items were officially presented to the school by representatives from MiLife Insurance and GNAT in the presence of teachers, students, and community members.

Speaking at the event, Chris Bekyieriya, a representative of MiLife Insurance, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting education and youth development. “Sports play a vital role in building teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills. We believe in nurturing young talents and are happy to contribute to their development,” he stated.

The Lawra Municipal GNAT Chairman, Seth Viiru, also highlighted GNAT’s dedication to students’ overall well-being. He urged the students to make good use of the items and continue excelling in both academics and sports.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the school, the headteacher, Mr. Constancio Niyel, expressed heartfelt gratitude to MiLife Insurance and GNAT. “This gesture will serve as a great motivation for our students to take sports more seriously. We truly appreciate the support and look forward to further collaborations,” he said.

The Secretary and District Trustee, Sixtus Kuubeizong, was also present at the event.

Excited students who received the jerseys and football pledged to represent their school with pride in upcoming competitions.

This initiative forms part of MiLife Insurance’s corporate social responsibility efforts, aimed at giving back to communities and encouraging youth participation in sports.
