The Member of Parliament for Wa West in The Upper West Region, Superintendent Retired, Peter Lanchene Toobu has boosted the health sector within his constituency through improved infrastructure and provision of other logistics.
Hon. Toobu renovated and fully furnished a three-bedroom doctor’s bungalow meant to house the Wa West District Hospital Medical Superintendent. The project is aimed at easing the accommodation challenge for the medical lead of the district.
The Wa West Legislator also handed over the male medical ward he renovated after it was ripped off by a rain storm.
As part of his contribution to facilitating transportation and delivery of Healthcare in rural communities, the Member of Parliament refurbished some nine AG Yahama motorbikes with brand-new engines and other parts. The fit-to-use motorbikes were also handed over.
Peter Lanchene Toobu further visited two of the four Basic Examination Certificate Examinations centres at Tanina and Wechiua.
He donated twenty-six bags of rice and seven 25-litre gallons of cooking oil to support feeding this year’s batch of BECE candidates across the constituency.
