The National Women Organizer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bissiw has visited Tumu in the Sissala East Municipality as part of her Upper West regional tour.
Her first port of call was the Sissala East Constituency office of the party and she later paid a courtesy call to the Chief, Landlords and elders of Tumu.
She also seized the opportunity to interact with women in the Tumu market.
Top on her agenda was to explain the policies of the NDC and its flagbearer John Dramani Maham to the people, especially women.
These included the intended Women’s Bank to assist women with business capital and other entrepreneurial funds.
Dr Bissiw also propagated the much-talked-about 24-hour policy aimed at creating more jobs and reviving the ailing economy.
She is expected to visit other constituencies as part of this tour.
